VeryPDF Online PDF Annotator is designed to help you read PDF,comment on PDF and share comment online without downloading any PDF file or installing Adobe products. It is for iPad, iPhone, Adroid phones, etc. The following will show you how to use VeryPDF Online PDF Annotator.

Step 1: Open VeryPDF Online PDF Annotator

Please visit http://online.verypdf.com/annotator to open the tool, which in fact is a webpage as illustrated below:

At the top of the window, there is a tool bar.You can use the tools to:

• Turn pages—you can turn pages by clicking Previous or Next, or enter the page number in the edit box on the right of Next.
• Zoom in and zoom out—If you want to magnify or minify pages, you can click the buttons or choose an item in the the combo box as below: 
• Open, save and share—you can enter the link in the edit box before Open and then click Open to open the PDF. You can click Save to save the PDF to your computer. If you want to share your PDF or invite your friends to comment on your PDF, you can click Share.
• Add comment and markup—you can add three types of comments, and various of markup on the PDF

Step 2: Open PDF

If you want to comment on a PDF stored on a server such as dropbox , you can do as follows:

• Copy the PDF link from the place where you store your PDF.
• Paste the PDF link in the edit box before Open. 
• Click Open.

To open the navigation panel, you can move the mouse to the left side of the window, and then you can view the thumbnails of pages in the panel.

Step 3: Add comment and markup

Three types of comment

There are three types of comment you can add: point comment, area comment and text comment.Click Comment and then choose an item from the dropdown list as follows to add comment. 

• Point comment—when you want to explain a word, you can use this type of comment: click the Point
• Area comment—if you want to mark and comment on a text block or a paragraph, you can use area comment.
• Text comment— you can highlight some text, a word, a phrase or a sentence and annotate it.

Four types of markup

• Draw—You can draw any lines, images, on PDF. Click Draw, and then drag the mouse to draw pictures.
• Highlight—you can use light color to mark the important or interesting part of PDF to attract attention.  
• Strikeout—if you want to mark the deleted part of PDF, you can click the Strikeout button and then select the text.
• Insert text—you can insert text wherever you like on your PDF. Just click the Text button and then click on the point where you want to add text.

Step 4: Save or Share

How to share annotation?

To share annotation with friends, or to invite friends to comment on the PDF you have commented, you should do as follows:

• Click Share to open the share dialog box.
• Right click the link in the edit box of the dialog box and choose Copy.
• Send the link to your friends through email, Facebook, Twitter, etc. 

How to save annotation?

If you want to save the PDF with the annotation added by you and your friends, you can do as follows:

• Click Save
• A dialog box pops out and you can choose a directory to store the annotated PDF file on your local disk.
